Mr. and Mrs. Harry Melber of Jim Thorpe are celebrating their 50th wedding anniversary.

They were married on Jan. 15, 1972, by the late Rev. William Liefield in St. John’s Lutheran Church in Jim Thorpe.

Mrs. Melber is the former Shelley Williams, daughter of the late Bernice and Milton Williams of Jim Thorpe. She is retired from the Carbon Lehigh Intermediate Unit. He is retired from DCNR as a state park ranger.

The Melbers have three sons: Jay and his wife Nicole of Allentown, Michael of Jim Thorpe and Jeremy of Lansdale. They have three grandchildren. Jakob Tanner Melber, Kiley Mackenzie Melber and Elijah Glenn Melber.
