Just one month after stepping down from the Pleasant Valley School Board, Joseph Dalkner was sworn in Thursday night as a board member once again. Dalkner was appointed to fill the two-year term on the board left vacant by the resignation of Vincent Coppola.
Coppola, running on the Republican ticket, won election to the school board last Nov. 7, defeating Democratic challenger Paul Heins by a vote of 1,110 to 965. However, Coppola served only one regular meeting before tending his resignation.
Dalkner previously resigned from the board due to time conflicts.
