Electronic recycling Saturday in Summit Hill
An electronics recycling event for Summit Hill residents will be held from 10 a.m. to noon on Saturday.
Borough Secretary-Treasurer Kira Steber said it is scheduled to be held at Ginder Field, 40 W. Amidon St., and proof of residency will be required.
The recycling is being done by Responsible Recycling Services and is being done through the provisions of last year’s trash collection contract with County Waste. The contract between County Waste and the borough called for holding one such electronics recycling.
The electronics recycling includes not only such things as computers, monitors, printers, televisions and gaming devices, it also includes dishwashers, stoves, bed frames, filing cabinets, refrigerators, car batteries (sealed lead acid) and paint cans.
Steber said the snow date is Jan. 22. She said a posting will occur if the event is postponed.
