Freezing rain advisory in effect until 6 p.m.

The National Weather Service has extended its winter weather advisory until 6 p.m.

Freezing rain is expected, with total ice accumulations of up to one to two tenths of an inch.

Difficult travel conditions are expected. Untreated roads and walkways will become ice covered and slippery.

Reschedule travel if you can. Also, if you must drive, slow down and use extra caution.

Today: Freezing rain and sleet before 11 a.m., then freezing rain between 11 a.m. and 4 p.m., then rain likely after 4 p.m. High near 36. Southwest wind 5 to 10 mph, with gusts as high as 20 mph. Chance of precipitation is 90%. Total daytime ice accumulation of around a 0.1 of an inch possible. Little or no sleet accumulation expected.

Tonight: A chance of rain, mainly before 8 p.m. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 19. Northwest wind 10 to 15 mph. Chance of precipitation is 30%. New precipitation amounts of less than a tenth of an inch possible.

Monday: Mostly sunny, with a high near 25. West wind around 10 mph, with gusts as high as 20 mph.

Monday Night: Partly cloudy, with a low around 8. Wind chill values as low as -1. West wind around 10 mph.
