Lehighton Borough Council took the following action on Monday:

• Approved the employment agreement with borough Manager Nicole Beckett in the amount of $97,031.

• Approved the employment agreement with borough police Chief Brian Biechy in the amount of $59,116 (to August).

• Approved Keystone Consulting Engineers invoice in the amount of $7,201 for the blight remediation.

• Adopted an ordinance pertaining to rooming houses.

• Approved a resolution setting the contribution rate for the police pension fund.

• Appointed David Zimmerman to the vacancy board with permission.

• Appointed Tim Ream to fill a vacancy on the planning commission.

• Approved a resolution establishing the current base purchased power cost for the PPAC.

• Approved the updated 2022 borough EOP and accompanying resolution.

• Approved the Bronze Membership with Bucks County Community College for on-site training program for the Lehighton Fire Department.

• Adopted a resolution for bituminous materials in small quantities.
