State police at Lehighton released information about the following cases:
• Two people who were involved in a verbal altercation that turned physical at 10:42 p.m. Dec. 23 along the Silver Spring Boulevard in Eldred Township were cited for harassment by physical contact.
Police said they cited a 50-year-old woman from Kunkletown and a 23-year-old woman from Summit Hill. No one was injured in the altercation, police said.
• Two people from Palmerton were charged with harassment by physical contact after a melee at 5:28 p.m. Dec. 24 along South Fireline Road in Lower Towamensing Township.
Charged were a 41-year-old man and a 28-year-old man, both from Palmerton.
Police said they were involved in a verbal altercation that became physical. At some point, police said a 13-year-old girl was shoved by one of the men.
• Brent Hefferan, 36, of Lehighton, was charged with simple assault after police were dispatched to a call at 5:49 p.m. Dec. 28 along Scenic Drive in Polk Township.
Police said a 60-year-old Saylorsburg man said Hefferan hit him and then fled the scene.
The victim’s eyeglasses, valued at $300, were damaged in the altercation, police said.
• Police were summoned to 369 Lake Drive, Lake Hauto, Nesquehoning, at 11:53 p.m. Dec. 27 to investigate a domestic disturbance.
Police said the response resulted in Xander Skoutelas-Kern, 22, of Nesquehoning, and Cierra Ohl, 18, of Summit Hill, being issued citations for harassment by physical contact.
• Police are investigating a theft incident that was reported to then at 11:45 a.m. Dec. 29.
It happened along Meadow Lake Road in Hamilton Township where the victim, a 68-year-old man from Sciota, told police someone stole a mailed package from the property.
