Brian Durigan, a member of Boy Scout Troop 106 of New Mahoning, was presented the Eagle Scout Award during a program yesterday in SS. Peter and Paul Catholic Church, Lehighton.

Durigan, son of Mr. and Mrs. Eugene Durigan of Mahoning Township, placed international and historical markings along a hiking trail at Beltzville Lake for his Eagle project.

The project took place on the former Christman farm at Beltzville. The markings he placed along the trail listed information such as trees to see while hiking, historical dates about the Christman farm and directional markings, etc.

The Eagle Scout pin was pinned on him by his mother, Ellen.
