Bowmanstown Fire Company has canceled its pork and sauerkraut dinner.

Contacted this morning, fire Chief Michael Spairana Jr., said the event had been scheduled for 2-6 p.m. New Year’s Day at the fire company.

“We’re kind of running out of help,” Spairana said. “But COVID is the main reason.”

Spairana noted the fire company is always looking for cooks.

Also, he said it’s always in search of volunteers on the fire side, or on the social side.
