An East Stroudsburg man waived his preliminary hearing on sexual assault an other charges Wednesday.
Russell Winters, 47, was set to have the hearing in District Magistrate Edward Tarantelli’s courtroom in Frackville.
Frackville Police and the Schuylkill County District Attorney’s office charged him with involuntary deviate sexual intercourse, sexual assault, aggravated indecent assault, indecent assault, corruption of minors, indecent exposure and incest for incidents that took place between May 27, 2016, and July 1, 2020.
He will face the charges in the Schuylkill County Court of Common Pleas.
Winters was arraigned previously on $100,000 straight cash bail. He remains in Schuylkill County Prison.
Police received a report of possible sexual assault from Schuylkill County Children and Youth. The victim, who said she was 13 at the time the offenses occurred, told police she received drugs and alcohol from Winters, according to an affidavit of probable cause. He then would withhold them until he received what he wanted sexually, she said.
Winters was questioned at the state police barracks in Schuylkill Haven.
He admitted to having sex with her while she was 17, police said. He denied letting her use methamphetamine or cocaine but admitted to giving her marijuana and alcohol, documents state.
