Nine Times News area players were recently named to the Colonial League First Team All-Star football squad, with three of them receiving recognition on both offense and defense.

Northern Lehigh’s Matt Frame and Trevor Amorim, along with Northwestern’s Justin Holmes all gained multiple spots on the top team.

Frame was chosen as both a running back and inside linebacker, while Amorim was selected at offensive athlete and as a defensive back. The Tigers’ Holmes made the team at quarterback and outside linebacker.

Other area players on the first team included Northwestern’s Ben Walters (offensive tackle), Cade Christopher (fullback/slotbacl/halfback) and Tyler Wikert (defensive back), Northern Lehigh’s Ethan Karpowich (outside linebacker) and Palmerton’s Matt Machalik (defensive back).
