Mr. and Mrs. Larry Heffley of Lehighton celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary.

They were married on Dec. 23, 1961, by the late Rev. Luther Wahrman at the Jerusalem Lutheran Church in Trachsville.

Mr. Heffley is the son of the late Kernel and Dolly Heffley of Weissport. He served in the United States Marine Corps. Additionally, he worked at Bethlehem Steel and was a former park ranger at the Beltzville State Park.

Mrs. Heffley is the former Roberta Hittner, daughter of the late William and Amelia Hittner of Kunkletown. Roberta is employed at Blue Mountain Resort.

They are the proud parents of four children: SherryAnn Dally, Dean Heffley and his wife Pam, Doyle Heffley and his wife Kellie, and ShellyLee Yeakel and her husband David. They have eight grandchildren: Devon and his wife Valerie, Monica, Matthew, Micaela, Elizabeth and her husband Joey, Angela, Michael, and Amber. They are also expecting their first great-grandchild in April 2022.

A family dinner will be held to celebrate their anniversary.
