The Lehighton and Palmerton wrestling teams both picked up wins on Wednesday.
Elsewhere, the Marian girls’ basketball team also picked up a win.

Blue Mountain-Lehighton
Lehighton knocked off Blue Mountain for a 43-21 Schuylkill League victory.
Lukas Ferguson (152) and Ricky Houser (285) scored bonus points for the Indians with pins in their respective matches. AJ Versuk added a major decision at 120 pounds.

North Schuylkill took advantage of bonus points to knock off Tamaqua for a 52-15 Schuylkill League win.
Between pins and forfeits, the Spartans secured plenty of added points to secure the victory in both team’s league opener.
The Blue Raiders got pins from both Gabe Erbe (120) and Michael Steigerwalt (152).

Marian-Executive Edu. Academy
A strong second half pushed Marian to a 51-39 nonleague win over Executive Education Academy Charter School.
Fatikha Tikhtova sparked the second-half surge, as she posted 10 of her 13 points over that span for the Fillies. Frankie Martinelli drained three of her four three-pointers in the second half, and she also finished with 13 points in the victory.
T’Nyaih Riggins was the lone Raptor to hit double figures with 10 points.

Lehighton-Panther Valley
Lehighton rolled to a 46-26 victory over Panther Valley.
The Indians’ Bodi Hawk led all scorers with 13 points, while Jayse Lawrence and Caden Meek both finished with 12 points.
B. Breiner paced the Panthers with nine points.
Weatherly-Tamaqua
Weatherly ran away with a 44-18 win over Tamaqua.
The Wreckers’ Jacob Tom scorched the nets for a game-high 24 points, while the Wreckers used a 27-4 advantage in the middle quarters to ease past the Blue Raiders.
Brady McCabe paced the Blue Raiders with eight points, while Landon Tringone finished with six points.
7TH GRADE
Lehighton-Panther Valley
Lehighton defeated Panther Valley, 39-29.
The Indians’ Tommy Blair recorded a game-high 16 points.
Derek Lazer was the lone Panther to hit double figures with 13 points.
Weatherly-Tamaqua
Raymond Montz hit the game-winner with :02 left on the clock to help Weatherly edge Tamaqua for a 30-28 win.
The Wreckers finished the final quarter rally with a 21-9 run to score the victory.
Aiden Buck topped all scorers with 19, while Montz finished with four points.
Landon Kamant and Jakin Tamagini both had five points for Tamaqua.
JR. HIGH GIRLS BASKETBALL
8TH GRADE
Weatherly-Tamaqua
Tamaqua rolled to a 44-7 victory over Weatherly.
K. Miller finished with 11 points for the Blue Raiders, while L. Black and C. Ulicny followed with eight and seven, respectively.
Pugh led the Wreckers with three points.
Panther Valley-Lehighton
Lehighton posted a 36-8 win over Panther Valley.
Olivia Serfass had 12 points for the Indians, while Ryleigh Troutman finished with 10 points. Uyvari collected eight points.
Morgan Orsulak had seven points for the Panthers.

Weatherly-Tamaqua
Tamaqua escaped with a 29-28 win over Weatherly.
The Blue Raiders’ L. Ligenza finished with 13 points, while Si. Stellfox added 12 points.
The Wreckers’ Pugh scored a game-high 28 points.
Panther Valley-Lehighton
Panther Valley rolled to a 40-10 win over Lehighton.
Lucy Kocha had 23 points for the Panthers, while Callie Kosciolek added seven points and Janessa Prudente scored six.
Kaitlin Thomas had four points for the Tribe.
