State police at Schuylkill Haven reported on crashes investigated by troopers:
• A one-vehicle crash occurred at 3:35 a.m. on Dec. 2 along Route 443 in North Manheim Township. Troopers said Douglas S. Heintzelman, 49, of New Tripoli, was driving a 2003 Kia Spectra too fast for conditions when he swerved to avoid a deer that had entered the road in front of him. The vehicle left the road and struck a utility pole on the south side. The Kia came to final rest in the eastbound lane.
Heintzelman was not injured but the Kia was towed.
He was cited for the crash.
State police at Schuylkill Haven reported on the following crashes investigated by troopers along Schuylkill County roadways.
• A two-vehicle crash was reported at 8:33 a.m. on Nov. 23 along Route 61, at the intersection with Seven Stars Road, in North Manheim Township. Troopers said Kathleen M. Kreiser, 60, of Orwigsburg, was driving a 2012 Toyota Sienna southbound while Kathleen M. Sherer, 51, of Pottsville, driving a 2019 Jeep Cherokee, was proceeding through the intersection on Seven Stars Road. Kreiser ran a red light and her vehicle struck Sherer in the intersection.
Kreiser and her passenger, Melinda V. Patterson, 34, of Orwigsburg, were not injured. Sherer sustained a suspected minor injury but refused treatment. Both vehicles had to be towed. Troopers noted a traffic light violation is pending against Kreiser.
