Matthew Slutter, 28, whose last known address is North Railroad Street, Tamaqua, is facing a charge of violation of a protection from abuse order.
On Nov. 18 at 11:20 p.m. police were dispatched to North Railroad Street for a report of someone inside the residence. The report was made by a woman, who said the residence was that of her daughter.
On scene officers were given the keys to the residence by the daughter. Police entered and found Slutter inside. He claimed he that the woman had picked him up in Philadelphia and she was allowing him to stay at her apartment for a few days.
The woman denied picking up Slutter in Philadelphia and said she had been staying with her mother in the Mount Pocono area because it was closer to her place of employment.
She also denied trying to make any kind of contact with Slutter.
The communications center informed officers that the woman had an active protection from abuse order against Slutter which prohibits him from being at the address. He also had an active warrant issued to the county detective office.
He was taken into custody and charged.
