Tom Boyle, of Tamaqua announced the engagement of his daughter, Makayla Elise Boyle to Todd Robert Techentine II of Grier City.

The bride-to-be, also the daughter of the late Jane L. Boyle, is a 2014 graduate of Tamaqua Area High School and a 2018 graduate of Alvernia University where she received a Bachelor of Biochemistry. She is also a 2019 graduate of Geisinger Commonwealth School of Medicine where she received a Master of Biomedical Sciences and is currently pursuing a Ph.D. in Public Health – Epidemiology at Walden University. She is employed as a senior scientist at Eurofins Lancaster Laboratories.

The prospective bridegroom, a son of Todd R. and Le-Ann Y. Techentine of Grier City, is a 2011 graduate of Mahanoy Area High School and a 2018 graduate of Lackawanna College of Petroleum and Natural Gas with a Bachelor of Petroleum and Natural Gas Technologies. He is employed as an installer at Rain for Rent.

A wedding is planned for May 20, 2023.
