Lehighton businesses are encouraged to brighten up their enterprises.

Those who do it better than the rest could be in line to take top honors in Lehighton’s third annual Holiday Storefront Decorating Contest.

The Lehighton Downtown Partnership will host the contest in which people are encouraged to vote for their favorite display.

They can vote in three different ways:

• Paper ballots will be in stores the week of Dec. 6, in an ad in the Times News, or at the Carbon Chamber and Economic Development Office at 137 S. St. Drop off paper ballots in wooden box in front of chamber office.

Paper ballots will also be available at Lehighton’s Christmas with Santa event from 2-6 p.m. on Sunday at 1 Constitution Ave. Online voting will be available beginning at 6 p.m. on Dec. 5 when the Christmas trees in the Park will be lit.

Voting runs from 6 p.m. Dec. 5 through 11 p.m. Jan. 6.
