Privacy? Lost and nonexistent!

When my landline phone rings, I expect to answer, and speak with you, I expect to be heard by you, not everyone else in the room on speakerphone!

When I call you, I expect you to answer, and we will speak with each other, you and I, no one else!

I think and wish there would be a courtesy, understanding and respect, something … that would tell me whether I am talking to you or anyone else in hearing distance of the speaker phone to which I am talking while I believe I am talking privately to you.

There! I’ve said it …

I feel very offended to be having a conversation with someone and find out it is not private!
