November 20, 1987 - Clayton “Skimmer” Andrews scores a pair of touchdowns and Lehighton’s defense comes up big in gaining a 12-0 upset win over Easton in the District 11 Class 3A championship game. Andrews carries the ball 23 times for 144 yards, including a 1-yard plunge in the opening quarter to give the Indians an early lead. The score is set up by a Troy Yurasits fumble recovery and a 54-yard run by Andrews. The defense, led by linebackers Mike McGeehan, Kyle Hough and Troy Hartman, limits the Rovers to just 92 yards rushing and no points. The Tribe add insurance in the third frame after another Yurasits fumble recovery. Andrews caps the short drive with a 3-yard tally.
