November 18, 1941 - Summit Hill’s junior players defeat the seniors, 2-1, in a field hockey game played at the Ginder Stadium. Alberta Embody, a gym instructor, at the school was in charge of the game, which was becoming a popular sport there. The first goal scored by the junior team comes from Karnish, while Knittle, Pollock and Dubosky all contribute to the second tally. Cantor, Bashiago and Rigotti combine to score the only goal by the seniors.
