The Notre Dame Club of Schuylkill County recently donated $2,050 to the Diligence Fire Company No. 1, Summit Hill, representing proceeds of its T-shirt sale conducted in conjunction with the annual ND Tailgate Party held Sept. 25 at the Batter’s Box, Summit Hill, which preceded the Fighting Irish’s win over the Wisconsin Badgers. The latest donation brings to $5,900 the amount of money the club has raised for the firefighters since they started the fundraiser in 2017. Making the presentation to fire company president Jac Collura, third from left, is club member Jeff Szczecina, second from left, while participating in the presentation are, from left, Tatum O’Brien, who coordinates the sale for the tailgate party, Shawn Hoben, fire chief, and club members Joe “Fuzzy” O’Donnell, Rich Gould and Bobby O’Gurek, front, who is also a fire company member.
