Gary Allan added to 2022 Penn’s Peak concert list

Country star Gary Allan has been added to the growing list of concerts for the 2022 season at Penn’s Peak.

Allan will grace the Jim Thorpe venue stage at 8 p.m. on March 26.

With the allure of a modern-day outlaw, Allan has won over fans, peers and critics with his signature blend of smoldering vocals, rebellious lyrics and raucous live performances.

While becoming a force on the country music scene, Allan has remained true to his artistic voice each step of the way.

Known for his dark and dreamy swagger, Allan’s hits over the years include “Do You Wish It Was Me,” “Life Ain’t Always Beautiful,” and “Songs About Rain.”

The California native released his first album, “Used Heart for Sale,” in 1996 and since then has released nine additional studio albums.

“When I think ‘country music,’ I think of a smoky bar with a glass of whiskey, and somebody playing heartbreak songs. That, to me, is what country music is,” Allan says on his website. “I want my albums to take you on a full journey.”

Allan has stayed true to that sentiment since making his mark on the country music landscape nearly 25 years ago.

Coming out of California rugged and edgy, Allan built his career with songs that draw on raw emotion and cutting lyrics about real life.

Tickets for the concert go on sale at 10 a.m. on Friday at all Ticketmaster outlets, the Penn’s Peak Box Office and Roadies Restaurant and Bar. Penn’s Peak Box Office and Roadies Restaurant ticket sales are walk-up only, no phone orders.

Other concerts announced

In addition to Allan, Penn’s Peak has announced several other upcoming concerts.

They include:

• Buckcherry with The LACS & Core on Jan. 22.

• The Marcus King Band on March 13.

• Tesla on May 7.

• Happy Together Tour on June 16.

Tickets for Buckcherry are now on sale, while tickets will go on sale for the other three concerts on Friday.
