Monroe man facing child pornography charges

A Monroe County man is facing child pornography related charges.

The Monroe County detective’s office, a part of the district attorney’s office, announced the arrest of Isaac C. Teeple, 34, of Kennel Road, Saylorsburg, Chestnuthill Township, on five counts of child pornography; knowingly depicts on computer, photo, etc. - photograph/film/depict on computer sex act; unlawful contact with a minor, and criminal use of a communication facility, all felonies.

According to the affidavit of probable cause, on Oct. 29 detectives received complaints from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children concerning cybertips it received from Yahoo Inc. The information documented the sending of 17 photographs which were suspected to be child pornography.

The staff of Yahoo identified the reported account as Teeple’s email address.

The 17 photos were viewed by detectives and it was determined that some of the photos were child pornography. Nine of the photos were considered pornographic.

A second cybertip indicated that the suspect had access to children and the tip identified Teeple as the holder of the account. The tip further identified Teeple’s Facebook account and a profile of a photograph on his account with a young girl, about 6 years old.

Through an administrative subpoena, investigators received from PenTeleData the address and other information incident to Teeple’s account. The investigation indicated the age range of the children involved is 5 to 7.

Investigators obtained a search warrant for Teeple’s residence and served it on Nov. 8.

At Teeple’s home a woman answered the door and introduced herself as Teeple’s girlfriend. Teeple was also found in the home. She said she didn’t believe anyone in the home would possess child pornography.

Teeple’s wife arrived at the residence, and said she found child pornography on her husband’s phone and his Yahoo account, which was subsequently disabled.

His girlfriend admitted she and his wife were trying to get Teeple help with his pornography addiction, but claimed she didn’t know he was attracted to children.

Teeple told police of his pornography addiction and struggles with childhood trauma. He further admitted taking photographs of his girlfriend’s daughter and described them for investigators.

Concerning the photographs reported from Yahoo, Teeple said he sent those photographs to himself and knew he was in trouble because shortly after his account was disabled.

Teeple was arraigned before District Judge Colleen Mancuso, of Chestnuthill Township, and committed to the county prison in Snydersville, unable to post $500,000 straight cash bail.

A preliminary hearing is scheduled for noon on Dec. 3.
