Incumbents run unopposed, win seats on Northern Lehigh School Board

Three incumbents won seats on Northern Lehigh School Board during Tuesday’s General Election.

Northern Lehigh School Board

In Lehigh County, Michelle Heckman was the top vote-getter with 1,127 votes, followed by both Gary Fedorcha and Robert Keegan Jr., who finished with 1,026 votes. There were 2,836 write-in votes.

In Northampton County, Heckman was again the top vote-getter with 238 votes, followed by Fedorcha with 218 and Keegan at 202. There were 233 write-in votes.

Slatington

In Slatington, three newcomers ran uncontested for three seats on Slatington Borough Council.

Zachari Halkias was the top vote-getter with 435 votes, followed by Jeffrey Hausman with 433 and Republican Ronald Kratz with 420. There were 28 write-in votes.

Jeralyn Walters Schoch received 563 votes to win the mayor seat. There were 16 write-in votes.

Republican Gwyneth Jones received 564 votes for tax collector. There were seven write-in votes.

There were 28 write-in votes for constable.

There were 14 write-in votes for judge of election in the first district; 12 in the second district; and 15 in the third district.

There were 14 write-in votes for inspector of election for First District, 13 write-in votes for Second District, and 13 write-in votes for Third District.

Walnutport

Three incumbents ran unopposed for four-year terms on Walnutport Borough Council.

Republican Patrice Hunsicker finished as the top vote-getter with 270 votes, followed by Jennifer Wentz with 213 and Iris Blum with 210. There were 63 write-in votes.

Democrat Wayne Weidner ran unopposed for mayor and received 268 votes. There were nine write-in totals.

Republican Kristie Wilk received 254 votes for tax collector, edging up Democrat Jonathan Kenyon, who got 160. There were no write-in votes.

There were seven write-in votes for constable.

Independent Brandon Issermoyer received 209 votes for judge of election. There were no write-in votes.

There were six write-in votes for inspector of election.

Washington Township

Republican Shawn Wanamaker ran unopposed for a seat on the board of supervisors and received 1,234 votes. There were 80 write-in votes.

Sally Mantz received 1,371 votes for tax collector. There were 20 write-in votes.

There were 83 write-in votes for auditor.

Republican Vincent Stahl received 1,238 votes for constable. There were eight write-in votes.

Republican Dawn Remaley received 280 votes for judge of election in Washington Township East. There were four write-in votes. Republican Lauren Ganser received 662 votes to win judge of election in Washington Township South, edging Democrat David Mulcahy who received 318 votes. There was one write-in vote.

There were 12 write-in votes for judge of election in Washington Township West.

Republican Linda Reitz received 278 votes to win inspector of election in Washington Township East. There were seven write-in votes.

Republican Lauren Ganser received 649 votes to win inspector of election in Washington Township South to defeat Democrat David Mulcahy Jr., who received 317 votes. There were 17 write-in votes.

There were 11 write-in votes for inspector of election in Washington Township West.

Lehigh Township

David Hess and Gerald Pritchard ran unopposed for six-year terms on the Lehigh Township board of supervisors. Hess finished with 1,838 votes, followed by 1,511 for Pritchard. There were 52 write-in votes.

There were 17 write-in votes for a six-year term for auditor. There were also 14 write-in votes for a four-year seat for auditor, and 14 write-in votes for a two-year seat for auditor.

Democrat Mary Louise Trexler received 1,789 votes as tax collector to edge Republican Thyler Hantz, who got 1,275 votes. There was one write-in vote.

David Sheats received 1,952 votes for constable. There were 10 write-in totals.

Republican Kyle Horwith garnered 398 votes for Lehigh Township Pennsville judge of election. There were 75 write-in votes. Democrat Karen Zimmerman received 271 votes for Lehigh Township Treichlers judge of election. There were 4 write-in votes. There were 13 write-in votes for Lehigh Township Central judge of election; seven write-in votes for Lehigh Township Danielsville judge of election; and 12 write-in votes for Lehigh Township Northwestern judge of election.

There were nine write-in votes for inspector of election Lehigh Township Central; 14 write-in votes for inspector of election Danielsville; 20 for inspector of election Pennsville; four write-ins for inspector of election Treichlers; and five for inspector of election Lehigh Township Northwestern.
