No one was injured when a car struck the rear of a school bus at 7:54 a.m. Oct. 18 along Frantz Road in Chestnuthill Township.
State police at the Fern Ridge barracks said Veronica D. Egly, 50, of Kunkletown, was driving the bus east on Frantz Road and was slowing down to pick up school students when a 2016 Ford Fiesta operated by Michael A. Cunningham, 26, of Kunkletown, “rear-ended” it.
The Fiesta sustained disabling front-end damages while the bus received minor damages, police said.
Police said a 3-year-old girl from Kunkletown was in the car and two 11-year-old girls from Gilbert were on the bus at the time.
Police said Cunningham was cited for following too closely.
