State police at Frackville reported on the following retail thefts at the Walmart store in Rush Township:

• Troopers said they responded to the store at 5:25 p.m. on Oct. 18 for a report of a retail theft. Store management said the theft was committed by an employee, identified as Indiana Casado, 27, of West Hazleton. It was determined that Casado attempted to steal $101.55 worth of merchandise. She was apprehended by store personnel and turned over to troopers.

• Police said Amanda Allamong, 32, of Mahanoy City, went through the self-checkout area and concealed numerous merchandise and under ran merchandise at the register. Total value of the items was $196.36.
