• The Tamaqua Public Library will host a platter sale from 4-6 p.m. on Oct. 21.

Platters are $10 each. Choose from beef or turkey with mashed potatoes, green beans, coleslaw, roll and butter. Baked goods will be available for purchase during pickup.

• A Book Discussion Group will meet the last Monday of the month. All are welcome.

Just read the book selection, which can be found on the library’s website, Facebook page or call the library.
