Blue Ridge kicks off this year’s fundraising campaign to support Keystone Military Families Stockings For Soldiers initiative, which sends holiday stockings filled with comfort and personal care items as well as Christmas cards to those serving in our military around the world.

“Our goal for a successful Stockings for Soldiers begins with our community,” said Cindy Mellinger, Blue Ridge Marketing/Community Relations Coordinator and Stockings for Solders Central PA Project Coordinator. “Community contributions of any amount will directly support our efforts to purchase, ship and distribute these gift-filled stockings to the soldiers who are selflessly serving our country.”

To assist in funding this year’s goal of 10,000 stockings, Blue Ridge is asking the community to help brighten a soldier’s holiday season by making a monetary donation through a secure website: brctv.com/stockings for soldiers. Donations may be made using PayPal or a debit/credit card through Nov. 30.

For a minimum $5 donation, a die-cut paper stocking including a special message and the sponsoring community member’s name will be tucked into a deserving soldier’s holiday stocking.

“This annual effort boosts spirits, provides caring support, and shows our soldiers who cannot be home for Christmas just how much they are truly appreciated by all of us,” Mellinger adds.
