State Police at Fern Ridge investigate incidents

State police at Fern Ridge reported on the following cases investigated by troopers:

• Ann Adams, 48, of Albrightsville, has been charged with harassment - physical contact, for an incident on Sept. 18 at 3:59 p.m. on Chippewa Trail in Mount Pocahontas, Penn Forest Township, Carbon County. Troopers said the suspect got into an argument with a 62-year-old man from Albrightsville, which escalated. She kicked the man in the stomach causing minor injuries.

• A 28-year-old man from Kunkletown, was cited for harassment - physical contact, for an incident on Sept. 17 at 11:55 p.m. at the intersection of Weir Lake Road and Route 209 in Chestnuthill Township, Monroe County. Troopers said the man, who they declined to identify, approached a 36-year-old woman from Kunkletown, at the Exxon station and spit on her forehead. No injuries were reported.

• On Sept. 16 at 5:57 p.m. troopers conducted a traffic stop of a 2010 Toyota Tacoma truck at Merwinsburg Road at Valley Road in Chestnuthill Township. The driver, a 25-year-old man from Effort, who troopers declined to identify, was found to be under the influence of a controlled substance and in possession of drug paraphernalia. He was taken into custody and transported to the county prison for possession. Charges to be filed.

• On Sept 12 at 9:16 p.m. troopers responded to the 1900 block of Donalds Road, in Chestnuthill Township, for a report of an argument. During the investigation, it was discovered that the a family dispute turned physical with multiple people cited for harassment. Cited were a 45-year-old woman from Brodheadsville; two men, ages 45 and 18, both from Effort. Troopers declined to identify the suspects.

• On Sept. 22 at 6:03 p.m. troopers were dispatched to the 5000 block of Hickory Road, Chestnuthill Township, Monroe County, to assist West End ambulance EMS personnel with a patient, who was having difficulty breathing and became upset with the EMS personnel. The patient, John Tutko, 57, of Kunkletown. was unable to refuse treatment due to his intoxication. Tutko then spit at a West End EMS personnel, hitting him in the eyes.

Tutko was ultimately charged with disorderly conduct and harassment.

• Troopers reported on Sept. 22 at 1:58 p.m. a 72-year-old female from Pocono Pines, who troopers declined to identify, became involved in an argument with a 35-year-old woman from Jim Thorpe. The 72-year-old took a pen from the victim’s desk and threw it at the victim, almost striking her.

The woman was charged with disorderly conduct.

• On Sept. 23 at 3:59 p.m. troopers conducted a traffic stop at Kuhenbeaker Road and Flame Drive, in Tunkhannock Township, Monroe County. The driver, a 32-year-old man from Blakeslee, who troopers declined to identify, was found to be under the influence and was taken into custody for suspicion of DUI and drug possession.
