One injured in Kidder Township crash

One person was injured Saturday morning in a crash in Kidder Township. The crash occurred around 5:30 a.m. at the 280.1 mile marker westbound just east of the Moseywood Road overpass. The operator of the UPS tractor-trailer apparently lost control entering the right berm, rolling the unit on its side. The driver was self-extricated from the wreckage. The victim was treated at the scene by members of the Lake Harmony ambulance and Lehighton paramedics before being transported to a Wilkes-Barre area trauma center. Responding to the rescue were members of the Lake Harmony, Albrightsville and Penn Forest No. 2 fire companies. State police at Fern Ridge are investigating the incident.
