Members of the congregation of St. John’s Lutheran Church on North Street in Jim Thorpe paid deserving honor to two of its most faithful and dedicated Sunday school teachers during a surprise testimonial dinner program.

Benjamin Henritzy and Rose Wolfe were showered with praise during the fete arranged by their friends, headed by Louise Hawk, who served as mistress of ceremonies.

The Rev. William J. Leifeld, pastor emeritus, the Rev. John Swavely, pastor, and Robert Eckhart and Harry Heydt, superintendent and assistant superintendent of the Sunday school, respectively, all praised the honored guests for their service to the church.
