The Tamaqua Chamber of Commerce Annual Community Dinner is set for 5:30 p.m. Thursday at Mountain Valley Golf Course.

“This year we have decided to do something a little different,” said Aimee Dotson, Chamber office and outreach administrator.

“Most of our Chamber board are also business owners themselves or know the difficulties of running a business. After what felt like the worst year ever with blow after blow to small businesses, if you are still open, you deserve a round of applause. It has been a tough year to say the least. We want to let all of our members know we see their hard work and we commend them for it.”

The Chamber will honor its 2021 members, the 2020 Business of the Year, Shafer’s Pharmacy, the 2020 Citizen of the Year, Linda Heigele and the 2021 Citizen of the Year, Dan Odorizzi on Thursday.
