A standoff situation involving police on West Church Street in Slatington has been resolved.

The road was blocked near the Slatington Fire Company on Wednesday after police went to serve a warrant at 455 W. Church St.

Armored vehicles were on location and a resident reported receiving an automated call telling him to stay indoors.

The U.S. Marshals were on scene.

The sound of a window breaking could be heard. Reports from the scene are that tear gas had been dispensed..
