Sydney Schrack, 24, of Effort, was lodged in the Monroe County Correctional Facility, Snydersville, on charges of strangulation, aggravated assault, simple assault and harassment after an incident at 11:06 p.m. June 14.

It happened on Jennifer Lane in Chestnuthill Township.

State police at the Fern Ridge barracks said Schrack and a 20-year-old woman were in an argument that escalated to the point where Schrack punched the women in the head and put both of his hands around her neck, choking her.
