A motorcyclist was seriously injured Sunday morning in a crash in Lower Towamensing Township.

The crash occurred around 10:30 a.m. along Hahns Dairy Road, about a mile north of Little Gap Road. The victim was treated at the scene by members of the Palmerton ambulance and Lehighton paramedics before being transported to a Lehigh Valley area trauma center.

A medical transport helicopter was requested but the flight was aborted due to the extended time of arrival. State police at Lehighton are investigating the incident.
