The state police liquor control enforcement office in Wilkes-Barre reported the following area businesses were cited for liquor code violations.
• Tony Stella’s Encore, Jim Thorpe, was cited for sold alcoholic beverages during a time when their restaurant liquor license was being held by the state liquor control board for code violations.
• Sunset Bar & Grill, Saylorsburg, was cited for during the period of May 23 through June 13, for failure to have their board-approved manager complete RAMP training within 180 days of the board’s approval of the appointment.
• Kalahari Resorts PA, LLC, Pocono Manor, cited on July 24 for furnishing alcoholic beverages to a minor.
These charges will be brought before an administrative law judge who has the authority to impose penalties ranging from $50 to $1,000 for minor offenses and up to $5,000 for more serious offenses. In addition, the judge can also impose a license suspension or revocation of the license based on the severity of the charge brought.
