Lehighton’s golf team remained undefeated in league action on Tuesday, while Tamaqua’s tennis squad earned its first win of the season.

Tamaqua-Schuylkill Valley

Tamaqua posted its first win of the season with a 6-1 victory over Schuylkill Valley.

The Raiders (1-2) swept singles play as Sabrina Pratt, Lesslie Martinez, Emily Antonio, Megan Oswald and Brooke Williams all recorded straight-set victories.

Pottsville won two of three in singles play and split the doubles matches to gain a 3-2 victory over Jim Thorpe.

Tara McLean posted a win at No. 2 singles for the Olympians (2-2), while teammates Kaylinn Trine and Taylor Saba combined for a victory at No. 1 doubles.

Jack Lorenz led the Indians with a top score of 78, while Aaron Miller (80) and Trey Spring (84) also turned in solid rounds.

Lehighton is now 7-1 overall, and 7-0 in the league. Lourdes dropped to 3-2.
