The Indians defeated Tamaqua, the Blue Bombers trimmed Saucon Valley, and the Tigers downed Pen Argyl.

Palmerton edged Saucon Valley 411-417 in a close Colonial League match on opening day.

The Bombers’ Josh Suto and the Panthers’ Jaden Kennedy tied for medalist honors, as both players posted a 76.

Palmerton’s Connor Reinhard was a stroke off the leaders, finishing with a 77. Teammates Tyler Hager (82) and Dominic Kintz (86) also shot in the 80s.

Jack Lorenz fired a 76 to earn medalist honors and lead Lehighton to a 339-406 Schuylkill League victory over Tamaqua.

The Indians (1-0) also received two rounds in the low 80s, as Aaron Miller turned in an 81 and Trey Spring carded an 83.

Peter McGinley was low man for the Blue Raiders (0-1) with a 90.
