Several people were injured Wednesday afternoon in a crash in Rush Township.

The crash occurred at 3:30 p.m. at the intersection of Fairview Street and Marian Avenue. The sport utility vehicle came to rest on its roof on Marian Avenue.

The injured were treated at the scene by members of the Tamaqua and Ryan township ambulances. Members of the Hometown and Ryan township fire companies helped with the those injured.

State police at Frackville are investigating the incident.

Hometown fire police maintained traffic control at the scene.
