Monroe County incidents

State police at Stroudsburg release information about the following incidents:

• A Monroe County woman is facing charges following an incident that occurred on Aug. 9 at 10:05 a.m.

Police said a vehicle stop was made of a 2016 Toyota van with trailer at Paradise Valley Road and Paradise Trail, in Stroud Township.

At the scene the 56-year-old female driver from Bushkill, who troopers declined to identify, provided false identification. It was found she had an active warrant for her arrest. Attempts to place her under arrest were met with resistance. She was successfully placed in custody and transported to the county prison in Snydersville on the warrant. She also faces a charge of false ID to law enforcement.

• A 61-year-old Tannersville woman who police said had her license suspended for 12 prior convictions for driving under the influence was arrested at 12:15 P.M. July 27 for another DUI charge.

Police said they stopped the woman driving a 2014 Nissan Altima at the intersection of Route 209 and Hickory Valley Road in Hamilton Township and found her to be under the influence of controlled substances and in possession of related paraphernalia.

Police said she was arrested and transported to the Monroe County Correctional Facility, Snydersville, for chemical testing.
