Lehigh Carbon Community College will offer certification and training for businesses or professionals in the following areas. All classes are held remotely.

• Learn Six Sigma Green Belt will be held from Aug. 25 through Dec. 15, from 6:30 to 8 p.m. on Wednesdays. Using the DMAIC (Define, Measure, Analyze, Improve and Control) method, students will learn how to find the root cause of problems and streamlining processes in an organization using Green Belt. Cost of this class is $529.

• Start Your Business runs on Tuesdays, Sept. 14 through Nov. 30, from 6:30 to 8 p.m. Entrepreneurs will gain valuable information on developing an idea into reality, market research and market strategy, as well as understanding finances. Class fee is $110; scholarships are available.

• Grant Writing Boot Camp is a class that will run on Saturdays, Oct. 9-16 from 9 to 11 a.m. In this boot camp, board members, community volunteers and upper-level business management are all encouraged to join in and learn about research, develop grant opportunities, key grant proposals, types of funding sources and private donations. The total price is $222.
