State police at Frackville report on incidents

State police at Frackville reported on the following incidents:

• On July 23 at 4:50 p.m. troopers were dispatched to 6 Walnut St., in Middleport, for a reported disturbance. An investigation revealed that Joseph Rolenaitis, 28, of Middleport, had pushed and slapped a 45-year-old woman from Middleport. He also punched a Erin McGinley, 24, of Middleport in the cheek. During that altercation McGinley struck Rolenaitis on the cheek.

As a result Rolenaitis was issued two citations for harassment - physical contact and McGinley was cited for harassment - physical contact.

• On July 22 at 4:05 p.m. troopers were dispatched to a disturbance in the area of 477 W. Mahanoy Ave., in Butler Township. A blue Honda Civic, with tinted windows, was driving within the borough of Girardville and surrounding area, firing a Nerfgun emitting yellow Orbeez pellets at people and residences. A license plate was obtained by one of the victims.

Investigation led to the arrest of Shawn Lex, 18, of Ringtown, and two 17-year-old male teens, one from Ashland and one from Ringtown. The three were charged with harassment. Troopers said no injuries or property damage was reported by the three victims, ages 88, 51 and 41, all of Girardville.

• A 53-year-old male from Barnesville reported the theft of a tire and rim from a commercial vehicle sometime between 3 p.m. on July 28 and 8 a.m. on July 29. The vehicle was parked in a lot at the intersection of East End Road and Vulcan Hill Road in Mahanoy Township. The tire is a Goodyear Kelvar tire with white rim with a total value of $325.

• Troopers also reported an abandoned dirt bike was found in the woods off Township Route 870 and Delano Road in Park Place, Mahanoy Township. The bike was found Aug. 1 about 8:11 a.m. by a local resident.

An investigation revealed the bike was a KLX 10 and had been reported stolen out of Lehighton in 2011.
