A free backpack and supplies giveaway for students grades K-6 in the Lehighton Area School District will be held from 5-7 p.m. Wednesday in the Lehighton Borough Park, Third Street side.

The event is being sponsored by First Presbyterian Church of Lehighton,

Backpacks and supplies will be available while supplies last.

There will also be free hot dogs, a fish pond and face-painting.

The rain date is 5-7 p.m. Friday.
