Towamensing Township supervisors took the following action on Thursday:

• Agreed to have township solicitor Tom Nanovic draft a letter to the Service Team regarding fencing at the soccer field.

• Reviewed a plan from Jerusalem UCC of Trachsville, to add an addition onto the church.

• Agreed to spend $415 for two signs for the recycling center.

• Agreed to enter judgments against a property owned by Joy Kahler at 375 Snyders Road.

• Agreed to add to more channels to the township’s radios to have better ability to communicate with the fire department.

• Granted permission for the Towamensing Township Fire Department to provide fire police to the Jim Thorpe Police Department for weekends in October.

• Approved bid packages for diesel/heating oil and road material.

• Announced that the next board of supervisors meeting will be held at 7 p.m. Sept. 9.
