Several people were injured, some seriously in a motorcycle versus vehicle crash Monday afternoon along Route 209 in Mahoning Township.

The incident occurred just after noon near the intersection with Packerton Dam Road.

The male driver of the motorcycle and a female passenger were ejected, causing serious injuries.

Several occupants of the vehicle were also injured.

Lehighton paramedics responding with as many as five units treated the patients at the scene.

One victim was flown from the scene by LifeFlight 6.

Mahoning Valley Fire Company responded to the scene with the Lehighton fire company setting up the landing zone.

Area fire police maintained traffic control at the scene shutting down the roadway. Mahoning Township police are investigating the incident.
