Tamaqua business cited for liquor violations

A Tamaqua business has been cited by the state police liquor control enforcement office in Allentown, for violating state liquor control board rules.

Frank Boslet trading as Frank Boslet Jr., also known as Hiller’s Hideaway, 514 E. Union St., was cited for three violations:

• From June 24, 2020, through June 23, 2021, code was violated for a connecting residence.

• On June 11 alcoholic beverages were sold after restaurant liquor license expired on March 31.

• Failed to maintain complete and truthful records covering the operation of the licensed business for a period of two years immediately preceding June 24.

These charges will be brought before an administrative law judge who has the authority to impose penalties ranging from $50 to $1,000 for minor offenses and up to $5,000 for more serious offenses. In addition, the judge can also impose a license suspension or revocation of the license based on the severity of the charge brought.
