A Saylorsburg man was killed in a crash in Ross Township Friday night after fleeing police.

State Police at Stroudsburg said troopers attempted to stop a green and black Yamaha sport bike motorcycle, driven by Brandon Perry, 26, of Saylorsburg.

Perry accelerated and began weaving in and out of traffic for about 5 miles on Route 33 south. He got off the highway and later crashed on Mount Eaton Road

He was pronounced dead on the scene at 5:58 p.m. by the Monroe County Coroner’s Office.

The state police criminal investigation unit and the collision analysis and reconstruction analysis units are on scene. State police and the Monroe County District Attorney continue to investigate.
