July 30, 1964 - Marvin Hosier and Frank Albert both have big days at the plate to power Jim Thorpe’s minor division team to a convincing 16-6 Little League victory over Lansford. Hosier collects four hits, scores two runs and knocks in five, while Albert finishes with three hits, three runs and two RBIs. The winners, who erase a 5-0 first-inning deficit, also receive three hits and two runs from Herb Pfeiffer, and a pair of hits and two RBIs from Billy Ulshafer. Gerald Gillespie chips in with a couple of hits and two runs, with Ed Lewis adding two hits, a run and an RBI.
