Trinity happenings
Sunday worship with Holy Communion at Trinity Lutheran Church, 175 S. 3rd St., begins 9:30 a.m. The bread wafer and juice are pre-sealed as a safe way to observe the sacrament.
Reservations are not required. A face mask covering the nose and mouth is no longer required for those fully vaccinated and past the 10-day waiting period. Included in this time is installation of Vacation Bible School staff. The church is air-conditioned. Rev. Nancy Moore presides.

The church office will be closed July 29-30 for staff vacation.
The Trinity Thrift Store is open for business without reservations. Shopping and drop-off hours are Wednesday 9-6; Thursday and Saturday 9-1. Donation drop offs are accepted during store hours, but are limited to 5 bags or boxes. Face masks must still be worn for the safety of all. All sales receipts support the food pantry. The Food Pantry continues to be open Tuesdays 10 a.m.-3 p.m. and the third Tuesday from 5:30-7 p.m. with an outdoor drive-up setting and precautionary measures in place.
Residents in need who reside in the Lehighton School District are eligible to receive pre-packaged supplemental food items. Participants must remain in their vehicle at time of pick up. Pantry volunteers will assist pedestrians/those not in vehicles.
‘Rocky Railway: Jesus’ Power Pulls Us Through’ is the theme for a three-night midweek Community Vacation Bible School. The schedule: Aug. 3 through Aug. 5, from 6:30-8:30 p.m., for students ages 3 through grade 6. Registration is free; forms are available in the narthex, church office or on the church website.

The steeple removal was completed July 21 as scheduled. It is currently being repaired and restored in Campbellsville, Kentucky.
Its return is expected in September.
