Anthracite cruised to a win over the Tamaqua 11’s in a Panther Valley Little League tournament game over the weekend.

Anthracite-Tamaqua 11s
Anthracite rolled to a 15-4 victory over the Tamaqua 11’s in a Panther Valley Little League tournament contest on Saturday.
Gabe Perilli and Trent Hausman both had two hits and knocked in a pair of runs for the winners. One of Hausman’s hits was a triple, while Perilli had a double and also scored a pair of runs.
The winners, who broke the game open with an eight-run fourth inning, also received two hits, three runs and an RBI from Chase McArdle.
Brian Boretski contributed a hit and two RBIs, as did AJ Reaman. Boretski also scored a pair of runs.
Pirelli also pitched four innings to earn the victory. He allowed 10 hits and struck out five.

BLUE MOUNTAIN LEAGUE
Yankees-Braves
The Northern Yankees edges Berlinsville by a 5-4 score on Sunday.
Austin Mueller had three hits, one a double, and knocked in three runs for the Braves, who dropped to 7-17-1, while Alec Bove finished with two hits.
Pleasant Valley graduate Dakota George had a hit and scored a run.George also suffered the pitching loss, but didn’t pitch poorly in defeat. He went six innings, allowing nine hits and just two earned runs while striking out four.
