Final plans for the 50th annual St. Gabriel’s Festival in Summit Hill were formulated by members of St. Joseph’s Parish, sponsor of the event that will kick off on Saturday, July 26.

Visiting seminarians from Italy will entertain both on Saturday and Sunday in the church hall, singing Italian and American folk songs, while outside, a beer garden, circus tent, food stands and games will be available for the public’s pleasure.

The church’s newly appointed pastor, the Rev. Edward Sproesser, will join Rev. Monsignor Agnello Angelini, pastor of Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, Nesquehoning, in leading the tradition St. Gabriel’s Procession through the town’s streets.
